Connection. Conversation. Collaboration. The triple C threat that is the heart and soul of the 2015 Blogpodium experience.
This past weekend has been incredible to say the least. Words cannot justify how I am currently feeling. Inspired? Absolutely! I am still processing all the information that was thrown our way today by some of the most talented design and lifestyle bloggers out there. Should I mention they were all Canadian too! To the speakers, you are all such incredible experts and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity and guidance you all shared with us this weekend. Thank you!
Also, a BIG shout out to my incredible husband and parents for taking care of baby Adam while this mama was away for the first time. Although I was nervous I am forever grateful. XO.
My hubby asked me what my favourite part was from Blogpodium and I honestly can’t choose. The whole experience was enjoyable. I loved the opportunity to mingle with other bloggers last night at The Cross Decor & Design. The fresh macaroons were delicious and who doesn’t love to do a little shopping while networking? (Ps. I picked up these incredible-smelling heart shape bath soaps that are made in France which will look perfect in our upcoming bathroom renovation once its complete!)
Our keynote presentation by the one and only Jillian Harris was WOW! I’ve been obsessed with her for years now but actually getting the opportunity to hear her speak about her life, her blog and some of the challenges even she faces makes me respect her on a whole new level. She provided us with an abundance of tips on blogging. And the fact that I was able to sneak in a selfie with her made it even more special to me.
I also had the opportunity to also finally meet the lovely Jennifer who is the founder of Vonbon Apparel. I’ve been reading her blog for the past year and she makes the most adorable organic cotton goods for the modern baby. My little Adam is going to be styling on the streets of Calgary! Can’t wait to share a couple photos.
All I can say is, if you’re lucky enough to attend a Blogpodium event than DO IT! Trust me you will not regret the decision. I had the opportunity to learn about styling and photographing images. About how to monetize our blog better. The chance to learn more about the power of visual branding. About building a successful blogging business.. the list goes on and on! And the take home swag bags at the end of the day were pretty sweet. Thank you sponsors!
To my fellow bloggers that I can now call friends, thank you for sharing your stories and time with me today. It was a treat to meet you all and I look forward to seeing how we all grow from this experience. My heart is full and my head is full of inspiration on taking Home and Bliss to the next level. XO.
