Our family and friends holiday bake exchange party is less than two weeks away and we’ve been busy finishing little renovation projects while decorating the home for the holidays. Baby Adam is loving all the extra lights! In between decorating I’ve also been experimenting in the baking department.
- 1 cup of butter
- 2/3 cup of powdered sugar
- 2 cups of flour
- 2 tbsp. of vanilla
- 4 tbsp. of steeped Earl Grey tea (Use three tea bags)
Boil water and steep three Earl grey tea bags in about 1/3 of the cup for approximately five minutes. Cream the room temperature butter and sugar with an electric mixer. Add the vanilla flavour and tea. Add the flour to the mixture until the dough comes together. Place the mixed dough in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350F. Once the dough is chilled, roll out onto a floured surface. Cut out desired shapes. Place the cookies on parchment lined baking sheets. Bake the cookies for approximately 10-12 minutes or until the edges are just barely brown. Cool on wire racks and serve.
