Welcome! Home & Bliss is a blog for home lovers, renovators, and DIYer’s where we share our home renovations from around our blissful home. We’ll show you some easy (and stylish!) home projects that won’t break your bank while mixing things up with some of our favourite recipes.

Hi! Nice to meet you! We’re Matt & Sylvia and we have an immense passion for home renovations, design and crafty do-it-yourself projects. We’ve been known as the couple who is busy transforming their house into a home.

We purchased our first “fixer” upper home in 2012 in the beautiful city of Calgary and we haven’t been able to put down the hammer since then. This blog chronicles our house renovation adventures. Sylvia is known as the design and do-it-yourself enthusiast while Matt is known for his incredible Handyman skills.

In 2014, we sold our last flipped house in about 24 hours. (We even surprised our real estate agent!) We are currently flipping our next home in the SW of Calgary while also embarking on a new adventure – parenthood. At times we are super busy but we are beyond thankful for the opportunity we have been provided with.

FullSizeRenderHello! I’m Sylvia. Author of homeandbliss.com. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Matt. I love sharing our DIY projects, design ideas and blogging about our renovation adventures.

I’m a big fan of popcorn & party planning. I adore being a  host for family & friends. But I love raising our son the most. In my spare time I run a fabulous motherhood group known as YYC Mamas. Nice to meet you!

FullSizeRender[1]Hey how’s it going? I’m Matt. I’m the renovator + Mr. Fix It of homeandbliss.com. I have my Red Seal chef certification but changed careers almost 6 years ago and am now building homes on a daily basis.

I enjoy renovating houses and seeing the end result. I’m a big fan of Italian & Mexican food. In my spare time I like to spend it outside, camping, grilling + snowboarding. Let’s building something!
